First post

Hello! This is the first post for the blog I will use to update friends on my homelab as well as document the changes, trials, and tribulations I've encountered. After major changes or additions, I plan on making an update post that documents what I did and what I learned.

I suppose it is only fitting that my first post on this blog is about self-hosting the blog itself! This blog is powered by Ghost, a slightly overkill platform for my use case. I did some research on a couple other blog platforms, but they were either too feature-thin or didn't have an easily deployable Docker setup. If there's one thing I've learned in my homelab journey, it's that everything runs in Docker.

Because I am well into my homelab journey by the time this blog started, I will write a subsequent post with an overview of what I've done and how I got there.
